Each building has spacious community rooms, a community patio/garden area and onsite laundry facilities. A growing senior housing alternative is the Affordable Housing option developed under the regulations of the Washington State Housing Finance Commission and also known as the Tax Credit Program. Within this program housing owners are paired with private business under a tax credit exchange that allows for support of development costs. With lower pay back of financial overhead costs the owner can offer a lower rent. Income levels may vary from building to building as well and range from 30% of median income to over 60%. The rents charged will be reflective of the income limits being imposed. What is an advantage for a senior population is that they can be housed in a senior community setting and have a more stable and lower rent. The age requirement for Senior Services Tax Credit Building is 55 or older.
