Amy Lowell Apartments was built in 1975 as part of the well known Charles River Park Community. Originally designed by architect Victor Gruen, his concept was based on the ides of French architectural visionary Le Corbusier, who advocated building towers in a park setting without streets, creating a self-enclosed community.
