Maybe no other city in the country is more misunderstood, while at the same time, so envied as Seattle. The mere mention of this beautiful city brings to mind the presence of rain, rain and more rain. And while, yes, it does rain here more than most cities, it only does it during the winter time when most people are dealing with snow. Much like its sister city Vancouver, Seattle has beautiful springs, summers and falls and then a snow-free winter that makes living in here a treat. Rich with tech jobs and friendly people, Seattle is a place more and more folks are calling home each year, and once you visit this great town, it is easy to see why.

While the most recognizable feature in Seattle might be the Space Needle, ask any resident what makes this city the way it is and they will point to the amazing coffee. Both Starbucks and Tully’s started here in Seattle and there are a thousand more independent coffee places here just waiting to be discovered. Seattle residents attack coffee like wine lovers on vacation in France. Everyone serves a different cup and everyone has their own personal favorite. The natural beauty of Seattle and all of Washington State is another wonderful reason to live here. With thousands of islands dotting the landscape, Seattle is a port city that does billions in business every year. The views alone seem to cost that much as you cruise through downtown. Seattle is truly a place that has to be seen to be believed.

While it may seem like the rainy winters here would put most residents in a sour mood, the fact that they get to live in such a wonderful city and not have to dodge snowflakes makes the rain the best part of living in Seattle. It can be tough in December, January and February when you only see the sun for hours at a time, but once the winter blahs break and the clouds lift, you are greeted with an amount of green that is mind boggling. They call Seattle the Emerald City because of all of the green everywhere, and on a March afternoon with the sun beating down, it is easy to see why. The land here is simply awe inspiring.

If you are in the market for a studio Seattle apartment, you can expect to pay anywhere between $620-$1400 per month depending on where you live and what view you have. A one bedroom Seattle apartment will cost you $750-$2000 a month and a larger two bedroom Seattle apartment will go for $900-$2500. If you need even more space, a super sized Seattle apartment will go for $1200 a month to start.
