One of the most dramatically beautiful spots on the globe, Salt Lake City is a spot that has really made a name for itself over the past few years. Most folks knew the area for its wonderful skiing and for the incredibly pretty surrounding area, but since Salt Lake City has played host to the Winter Olympics, the city has taken on a whole new luster. Now people realize that Salt Lake City also sports a thriving economy based on technology, finance and tourism. It is a city that is growing at a significant rate and there is no signs of it stopping. Founded in 1847, the city was originally founded to be a refuge for people of the Mormon faith, but today, the city is a refuge for everyone looking for just the right spot to call home.

There is plenty to do here in Salt Lake City, and much of it involves the amazing outdoors. Salt Lake City has, for years, thrived on the fact that it is a winter wonderland for those folks looking to hit the slopes or take advantage of other winter sports, but since the Olympics have left some of the best training facilities anywhere in the world, the city now attracts the most high end sportsmen in the world. It doesn’t matter if you are a world class skier or if you’ve never tried on a pair of skis in your life, you can have a lot of fun in Salt Lake City. The town is also a place that embraces religion as a part of every day life. Some of the biggest and most beautiful structures in the city are churches, and even if you don’t share in that particular faith, they are worth a visit just to see the architectural achievements.

For many folks, the best part about Salt Lake City is the old fashioned and conservative approach to life here. Many vices, such as pornography, are banned here, and while this may aggravate some people, others who are looking for a return to an older time, welcome these rules. While people of the Mormon faith are the majority here, there is a large religious community of many other Catholic faiths. For those people who are looking to immerse themselves in a strong religious community, Salt Lake City is exactly what they are looking for.
