Located almost due west of Houston, the town of San Antonio often gets left out of conversations about which city is the best in Texas. But residents here love their city, and once you visit it for the first time, it is easy to see why. Founded in 1718 by the Spanish, the city didn’t come over to American possession until after the famous Battle of the Alamo. Today, San Antonio is a vibrant city that thrives on finance, defense, health care and, of course, tourism. The city is maybe the most famous for the River Walk area downtown, a networked series of walkways on and around the San Antonio River that is lined with dozens of shops, restaurants, bars and other fun things to do. The city is also home to one of the most consistent NBA teams, the San Antonio Spurs.

It isn’t possible to have any real conversation about things to do in San Antonio without first talking about the River Walk. The River Walk is truly a unique attraction among major American cities. But the sheer scale of the River Walk project and the fact that it seems to gain in popularity every single year makes it a whole tourist attraction all by itself. The lone major sports team, the Spurs, are also extremely popular here. Winners of multiple NBA championships, the Spurs are a clean cut bunch of guys who play the game hard and win the adulation of the fans here. Of course, the Alamo is a major tourist attraction here, as well. The building has been almost perfectly restored and is a protected place within the city of San Antonio. If you get a glimpse at San Antonio’s skyline, you are likely to see the Tower of the Americas, a tower that visitors can ascend to for sightseeing. Finally, no city like San Antonio is complete with an amazing Six Flags park that is a hit with adults and kids, alike.

The best part about living in San Antonio is how happy everyone here seems to be. For some reason, living in San Antonio isn’t something many folks think they will ever do, but once they move here, they wonder why they didn’t make the leap sooner. It is a beautiful city with lots to do. Wages here are high and the cost of living is reasonable. It is no wonder then that a San Antonio apartment is the way to go!

If you are in the market for a studio San Antonio apartment, you can expect to pay $400-$550 a month. A one bedroom San Antonio apartment will cost you $600-$900 a month and a two bedroom San Antonio apartment will generally cost $800 and up. If you need extra space, a larger San Antonio apartment will start at $1000.
