Some might argue that the jewel of Texas is located near Dallas. Some might say it is in West Texas, near San Antonio. Founded in 1836 on what was nothing more than a bayou, Houston has been a world center for energy, banking and good times for the last century. The city does a remarkable job embracing its cowboy past, as well as looking toward the future. It is an accepting city, even though it is deep in the heart of Red State country. It has a thriving arts and theatre community, as well as a die hard high school, college and professional sports fan base. It is unlike any other city in the world, and a Houston apartment is just about the best way to discover this wonderful place.

It is almost impossible to list every tourist attraction in this great city, but if you want to get a feel for what living in Houston, and all of Texas, is really like, head out to one of the many high school football games that happen every fall. Just like the hit television show, “Friday Night Lights, shows, football in Texas is akin to religion. But there is so much more to Houston that just pigskin. Houston is a city dedicated to bringing the best in arts and theatre to its citizens. As the fourth largest city in the United States, the city planners here understand that to be a world city, you must have things like a symphony, a ballet and outstanding live theatre. Houston has all of that in spades.

It can be almost impossible to pinpoint one single aspect of this great city that stands out above all else, but it might just be the sheer size of it all. They say everything is bigger in Texas, and Houston is no exception. Some may look at sprawl and see something bad, but people in Houston see it as an opportunity to build more clubs, bars, parks, stadiums and things to do than just about anywhere else. It doesn’t matter what you’re looking for or what you’re into, Houston will be the city that can give you want you are searching for.

If you’re looking for a studio Houston apartment, you can expect to pay as little as $340 and as much as $675. A one bedroom Houston apartment will usually run you $700-$850 depending on how close you are to the city center. A two bedroom Houston apartment will go for $900-$1100, while a loft style Houston apartment with all the extra space you want will go for at least $1200 or more.
