One of the most important and historic cities in the country, Philadelphia is an increasingly popular place to live, and once you see everything that this amazing city has to offer, it is easy to figure out why. Located right on the Atlantic coast in the south east corner of Philadelphia, the city was founded in 1682, Philadelphia immediately became one of the most important cities to the new nation. Some of the most important documents were formed here and some of the most important debates were held here. The city planners have done a spectacular job of preserving that history so that generations to come may understand and appreciate it. Today, Philadelphia is a wonderful city that is ready to open its arms to any and all new residents. A Philadelphia apartment is a great way to settle in to this great new place.

Since Philadelphia is one of the largest cities in the country and there is such a huge historic presence here, finding things to do is easy. You can hardly turn around in Philadelphia without running into or brushing up against something historic. Maps are available all over the city that allow new residents to get to know all of the various historic sights around town. If you are a sports fan, Philadelphia will seem like heaven. All four major sports teams are represented here, and all the teams have a long and storied history that keeps fans cheering, and sometimes booing, year round. Philadelphia is also a city blessed with many major universities and colleges. The city is a great place for those to check out if you are going after your undergraduate degree, or if you have something bigger in mind.

Perhaps the best feature of Philadelphia is its sheer size. As one of the largest cities in the country, there is always something going on, a new club opening up, a new children’s festival opening or some kind of celebration going on around the city that can keep residents busy. Only a handful of cities in North America, places like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, have this kind of diversity and year round fun. There are negatives to living in a city this big, but for the overwhelming majority of folks, the plusses far outweigh the minuses.

If you are interested in a studio Philadelphia apartment, you can expect to pay somewhere around $550 to as high as $3000 depending on the neighborhood and the amenities you have. A one bedroom Philadelphia apartment will generally run $750 to start for a bare bones place, and a two bedroom Philadelphia apartment usually starts at $1000 and goes up from there. If you need extra space, a three bedroom or larger Philadelphia apartment will cost you $1400 to start.
