Baton Rouge - A Great Place to Live

You don’t have to be a fan of college football to live in Baton Rouge, but it sure helps! The beautiful city of Baton Rouge is home to Louisiana State University, a school that consistently fields one of the best college football teams every year. The city dates back to the late 1600’s, as do many towns in this part of the country. Much like nearby New Orleans, the city has been run by several different governments in its time. First the city was French, than British, than Spanish before becoming part of the United States in 1812. This unique combination of culture has given Baton Rouge a unique and colorful heritage that is reflected in the people, the food and the music residents of this area cherish.
